    You have to drive up to the youth hostel grounds. The castle is just behind it. From 1597, Joach von Stentsch had a two-wing renaissance castle and a small landscape park built using a previously existing Gothic property.
    From 1834 Frederike von Ryssel became the owner, and in the 1860s the castle was inherited by Emil Kracker von Schwarzenfeld. He had the palace embedded in the park redesigned in the neo-renaissance style. From 1891 Count von Finckenstein was the owner, who had the Renaissance castle demolished in 1895.
    After the Polish takeover of the region, the castle was used as a holiday home. The castle was badly damaged in a fire in 1990 and restored in the following years. Source: Wikipedia
