The Dortebach valley was placed under nature protection as early as 1930 and is therefore the oldest nature reserve along the Moselle. After the last ice age, a special microclimate developed in the Dortebach valley, which offers a habitat for rare plants and animals from the Mediterranean countries, from the Black Sea and also from the Alps. Nature reserve with signposted hiking trails. I think it would be interesting to take a walk there through unspoilt nature. It may be advisable to wear appropriate clothing as the walking path is virtually overgrown.
