Tips
Viggiona is located under the 1,116 meter high Monte Carza in a sheltered little basin, at about 700 meters above sea level and thus 500 meters above the water level of Lake Maggiore. In the village, the baroque church from the 16th century is worth seeing, on the edge of the village there is still a Romanesque basilica, which even dates from the 14th century.
