Bike Touring Highlight (Segment)
The world of Eskildsen geese - it started almost 50 years ago when Jens Eskildsen founded the first farm in Gudendorf. Here geese were bred with an optimal meat-bone ratio, which were kept in the field and slaughtered only dry - then a rarity in Germany, because most geese came from Polish or Hungarian wet slaughter, which leads to great loss of taste.
Since 1990, Junior-Chef Lorenz Eskildsen concentrates the goose breeding on the regions North and East Germany. At the farms in Wermsdorf, Königswartha and Gudendorf, but also in smaller Eskildsen farms, the agricultural specialization and with it the development of the Eskildsen goose is consistently pursued. Today, all stages of goose production are combined under one roof - this is unique in Germany.
