Rock gallery to the waterfall
From the house the rock gallery leads into the Rofflaschlucht and at the back even behind the waterfall and thus under the Rhine.
The path leads through the restaurant - where the entrance is located - into the museum and further into the gorge.
This rock gallery was built in the winters of 1907-14 by the then landlord and owner Christian Pitschen-Melchior.
The story of this life's work, why and how it came about, can be seen in the house museum.
The hike into the gorge and back, including the museum, takes about half an hour, although you can of course linger and enjoy for over an hour.

Good starting point for crossing the San Bernardino Pass by bike. Nice rustic accommodation with the possibility to visit the Rofflaschlucht.
