Nice ride prior to a hurricane warning. Some heavy headwinds on exposed stretches such as bridges. But the destination with Key Biscayne, it’s residential area, the park and the lighthouse are well worth the 36 km loop from Brickell.

Orientation Ride down to Kendall. For the way down I took lesser traffic heavy roads that had a lot of tree alleys providing shade given that it was 28C. Metabolism kick off. Borrowed myself a bike and went from Fin. Disttict to Victoria Island. Crossing Biscayne Bay over the bridge with head on wind is not really funny. But coming back and the wind died down is outright mean of the weather. Plus with 28C it is quite an effort. But I have found my training

From San Bernardino up to the Pass you are on the Cantonale, recommended is to start early, as it is a motorbikers stretch as well, and they can be disturbing at times. But in between you hear the cowbells. Be aware that you are above the tree line and there are cool winds at times.

Totally underestimated this one! When I planned it the altitude profile made me believe that the first stretch is pretty flat - hell, was I wrong. the trip is easier than thought. the steepest part is perhaps in Agno towards Guasti. Once you have made it to Vernate, the road passes through beautiful beach forests and the traffic is very limited. You will remember this overdose of fresh air, especially when you bike from Agno to Capella Agnuzzo
