The pilgrimage church "Zum Christkindl unterm Himmel" (To the Christ Child under Heaven) was built in the 18th century and houses a famous wax nativity scene with over 300 figures.
The special post office 4411 Christkindl has been in operation since 1950 and is considered by Austrian children to be the address for sending their Christmas wishes. Around two million letters and cards are postmarked here each year with the special "Christkindl" postmark.
