The defining feature of Friedensplatz is a successful replica of the historic Empire Fountain from 1838. The original was demolished in 1940, but restored in 2005. You can admire the central granite column with four lion heads, from which water bubbles, as well as the night lighting.

The elongated market square (officially Náměstí Míru, i.e. Peace Square) is dominated by the Lower Gate on one side and the Choden Tower on the other. Both sides of the square are lined with colorful Renaissance houses with arcades.
