Oleftalsperre Peninsula

One of the few places where you can get right down to the water... However, it's easy to miss the entrance to the path that leads to the top of the small promontory as you circle the dam on the wide, gray path.. .

We were at the dam on one of the last beautiful autumn days and, interestingly enough, we were almost alone on the circular route for the first 2 hours. Around 12 o'clock are then in the 30min. Every now and then cyclists drove past us.

There is no gastronomy at the lake (on the circular route), so provide yourself with everything you need for a 3-5 hour tour. We were traveling with a child (1) in a backpack and a child (6), can be done in good weather. Every 500m there are benches on the north side and every now and then a shelter. The south side of the lake has a rest area only about every 1000m.

My highlight: Wonderful headland (probably not only at low tide) for a picnic!
