Location: Gutenstein, Bezirk Wiener Neustadt, Lower Austria, Austria
The Rohrer Sattel connects the towns of Rohr im Gebirge and Gutenstein in the Gutenstein Alps on the way from Vienna to Mariazell. Both driveways have two significant hairpin bends and are the same length, each 6.9 km. Nevertheless, the two sides of the pass are very different, as you only have to overcome a little more than half as many meters of altitude on the west side as on the east side. This pass can be built into a nice tour through the Gutenstein Alps, for example together with the Ochsattel, Auf dem Hals or the Klostertaler Gscheid. The road is wide. There is a lot of traffic at the weekend. Motorcycles are only allowed to drive 70 km / h, which luckily slows the motorsport mood a bit.
