The Klostertaler Gscheid is not a really important pass between the Gutenstein Alps in the north and the Schneeberg massif in the south. At the highest point there is a small chapel. The L 134, which leads over the top of the pass, branches off to the north-east west of Gutenstein from the federal highway 21 and joins the B 27, the Höllentalstraße, after 16 kilometers south of Schwarzau. There are no steep inclines, it is more of a bumpy ride. Car and motorcycle traffic is very low. The road surface is quite old and sucks, but does not cause any problems for the racing bike and is easy to ride. The Klostertaler Gscheid can be easily combined with a pass round with the Rohrer Sattel, Haselrast, and possibly with a final trip from Gutenstein up to the Mariahilfberg.
