Tips
Because fishermen used to be considered socially weaker, they did not want to be accepted into the city and were given their residential quarters in the Fischervorstadt am Senkelbach. Hence the gate that led into the fishing suburb got its name. Today the area around the Fischertor is noisy and busy.
