Salome stretches her head up, is almost at eye level with Helmut Schachner. Salome weighs several hundred kilos, has two pointed horns and could easily injure Helmut Schachner seriously. But above all Salome wants to be groomed. She stretches her head with the long hair hanging over the eyes towards Schachner so that he can brush her neck. It looks like a trusting relationship between the breeder and the Scottish Highland cattle.

Since 2014, there is already a herd of Scottish highland cattle for grazing in the nature reserve Wolfzahnau. This is one of the most graceful and beautiful cattle breed ever: it is an ancient breed of cattle, which was originally distributed only in Scotland and the Hebrides. With its decorative horns that can reach up to 1.60 (and more) span and its exceptionally long hair it captivates every viewer.
