    Schimanski location
A recurrent location in many Schimanski films is the Ruhrort Werfthafen am Vinckekanal. At Alte Duisburger Straße are the shipyards of Kleinholz and Lünnemann in Ruhrort.
    - In the episode "Duisburg-Ruhrort" anchors Wittingers Rhine ship in front of small wood.
    - The ship of Partikulier Petersen is located in »Duisburg-Ruhrort« on today's "Blue Grotto" access.
    - Schimanski helps his buddy Frieder (Klaus Wennemann) into "friends" while welding his ship.
    - In the movie "Zabou" Schimanski drinks here almost after a boat chase from.
    - In "Shimanski's weapon" here is the workshop of family Spilonska.
Here's the body finding site of an unknown prostitute on a ship in solitary confinement.
    - The scenes in »Hard on the Limit« with Shimanski's ship engine play here.
    - In »Kinderlieb«, Markus Czermak rowed through the bay.
    - On the upper floor of the company Kleinholz was also the apartment of Klaus Löwitsch in the TV series "Hafendetektiv".
    - In the movie "The Miracle of Bern" sits the boy Mattes on the water.

The shipyard is the oldest part of the Duisburg ports, the Blue Grotto is an art project, also illuminated at night.

The shipyard harbor is a historical part of the Duisburg harbor. It was built between 1820 and 1825 and was originally oval with an island in the middle on which several shipyards were located. Today, large parts of the former harbor have been filled in and built on, e.g. with the Thousand Window House [komoot.de/highlight/203760]. The shipyard port is part of the Industrial Heritage Route.

The “Blue Grotto” is a work of art by Heide Weidele on the site of the former shipyard island. The intense blue is reflected in the water of the harbor basin and is enhanced at night by lighting.
