The Nikolaikirche is a three-aisled hall with two parallel choirs and a built-in west tower. Probably the construction was begun in 1230. In 1409 there was a fire, after which the existing three-aisled hall was built in different stages of construction (vaulting of the choir in 1421. turn of the century 19th / 20th century comprehensive restoration). Towards the end of the Second World War, the roofs were partially covered and the roof over the southern aisle destroyed, with three vaults collapsed there. In addition, damage occurred to the masonry of the tower. During reconstruction, the roofs were repaired until 1949, after which the walls and vaults were removed.
