The Kiel Monastery is a historic building near Alter Markt.
Shortly after the city was founded, Adolf IV vonSchauburg founded the Franciscan monastery in 1242, which collapsed during the Reformation.
After WWII damage, it was rebuilt in a different form as the 'Theological Study House of Kiel Monastery'.
