The Wheel o Drams is a sculpture constructed of connected coal mining drams, designed to represent the industrial history of the region. Known locally as ‘the Stargate', it serves as the entry point to Hengoed Viaduct and is an interesting sight along the Taff Vale (Celtic Trail) cycling route. Extra hint: if you’re so inclined, you can climb up inside it and use it as an interesting spot to enjoy a picnic.
