Out with the dog trailer and the dog of course.
The sunshine was too good to waste and we took a a ride into Newport with the dog riding like a king in the trailer. It’s very rare the my other half rides a bike, but I gladly took the opportunity to get out on two wheels.

A little test ride this morning on the new wheels, which are pre loved and in very good condition. My ride this morning confirmed I had done the right thing.

Afan Valley, Rheola Forest, Rhigos and finally some downhill.
This was a tough one that tested my resilience. I set off from Port Talbot up the Afan Valley, which is a typical disused railway line with 10 miles of steady climbing, before passing through Glyncorrwg and then the work began with 6 miles of climbing. The views were stunning.…

Newport was the plan….
I set off this morning heading for Newport this morning, but it short lived due to a road closure and there was no way I was going to use the A48, so a change of plan and I ended up in a part of the city I am totally unfamiliar…

good that you had a good gut feeling and everything went well😀👍 in our area there are also quite a few construction sites at the moment that you have to drive around....sometimes quite annoying....but you also get to know shortcuts that you didn't know before😂 Interesting sculpture
