In the cold corner, a 30 ° steep snowfield must be overcome when descending from the high bird in the direction of the fox's saddle.
The snowfield varies in size from year to year. Only in very hot summers it thaws completely. Depending on the size and condition of the snowfield, grooming or light-weight iron can be very helpful here.
The little familiar with such terrain goers, or those who are not comfortable here is still the opportunity to cross the Cold Angle on a relatively easy way in a northerly direction to Barschscharte and from there over to the Fuchsensattel to go. For quite strong fitness, there is also the possibility of the Kaltwinkelscharte first cross the summit on a simple via ferrata and then to cross the beam gap. In this variant, the snow contact is the lowest. It therefore makes sense if a safe descent in the cold angle is no longer possible.

No snow this year! However, the ascent is still not the easiest! There is a rope in the uppermost part of the scree field, but you have to get there through the full sun first. In my opinion, going down is easier than going up, so don't worry if you're sure-footed!
