At this quarry, a piece of economic history is shown and described, made very interesting. I find the truck connection from the steep hill to the valley, which existed once, particularly surprising.

Due to the proximity to the city, the quarry remained relatively small and was operated until the 1950s. Some museum objects that are described there have been left on site. There is also a stone saw gate to admire. Everything seems a bit wild here, but that is also what makes this abandoned quarry so charming.

This quarry was in operation until the 1950s. Sandstone was mined. A few things are on display as remnants. so the "fate", a three-sided roof for the Steinhauser, a lorry for transporting the stones on rails and an old stone saw gate. With this device blocks of stone could be cut into tranches.
