The Hartenholm Forest Estate, whose origins go back to the 17th century, has had many different owners over the years. One of these was the Danish King and Duke of Holstein Christian VII. The stone corner pillars at the gates of the forest estate are a reminder of this time. Today the privately owned property is used in particular for forest management, the operation of the RuheForst Segeberger Heide / Hartenholm in kakels and residential units.
