Tips
On the old road from Aduard or Dorkwerd to Garnwerd is the hamlet of Oostum. Oostum was situated on a mound of about 5 metres high. Half of the mound was dug up by the farmer to sell the fertile soil, resulting in a small ravine on one side of the road. On the other side are a few houses and a beautiful church, the Kerkje van Oostum. It is also the only climb in the area that does not go over a bridge.
