With the Carmen-Sylva-Waldpromenade, the city has a very special example of its own, which allows those interested to look deep into the soul of Queen Elisabeth of Romania. Hiking

During the First World War, the half-finished church was used as a stable for mules. Unfortunately, the entire roof structure collapsed during this time. The construction period was from 1913 to 1914. Today a lot of granite and brick can be seen inside the church. The stone comes from the place Kastav. But the real beauties are the stained glass windows and paintings by the Slovenian artist Kralj. The impressive dome can be seen above the altar. This can be seen clearly from many places in Opatija, making it easy to find the way to the Church of the Annunciation
