It is one of the most popular photo motifs of Kiedrich, which is really rich in listed houses: the picturesque Schüler-Katz winery at Bingerpfortenstraße 6, once a "Franconian village blacksmith". In 1672 Heinrich Driesmann, also written as Trisman, had a house built there. The carved panel with anvil, hammer and pliers on the bay window of the ornate half-timbered facade facing Obergasse reveals that he was an armorer; also councilor and magistrate, according to the website of the Schüler-Katz winery, which now resides in the property.
