Hiking

The memorial stone was erected in 1952 in memory of forester Hermann Krutzsch. Far beyond the borders of Saxony, he suggested the creation of mixed forests of different types and ages. Of the once huge fir, which unfortunately had to be felled between 250 and 300 years old and at a height of 37 meters in February 1959, only the stump remains.
