A fairly common plant in Drenthe: Veenpluis. Peat fluff is a plant of the cyper grass family. The plant grows in moist, acidic soil, such as heather and peat. It forms turf there with the help of suckers. A striking feature is the long, white fruit fluff, from which the name is derived. It is fairly common locally in Drenthe, the Kempen and the Ardennes.
