The Evangelical Church is the center and landmark of Frille. Its 52 m high tower, which can be seen from afar, is a good guide for cyclists. The church was built in 1910-11 in the Romanesque Revival style; Inside there are additional Art Nouveau elements. It replaced a previous 14th-century church that was dilapidated by the early 20th century and too small for the growing congregation. The first church in Frille already existed around the year 1000. The valuable "Friller Cross" (beginning of the 14th century), the Marian bell (1430) and the baroque baptismal font (1681) also have their place in today's church. What is special about the church is not only its unusual size. The parish of Frille (including Wietersheim, Päpinghausen and the schaumburgische Cammer) is the only one in North Rhine-Westphalia that belongs to the Schaumburgische Landeskirche.

The Friller Church was built in 1910/11 by August Kelpe from Minden to replace a Romanesque predecessor building that had been extended in the 17th century. It was consecrated on October 11, 1911. The church building, which has a rusticated ashlar cladding made of Obernkirchen sandstone on the outside, was completely restored in 2011. In 1995, the church received a new organ in the historic facade from the Flentrop Orgelbouw company in Zaandam with 27 registers, distributed over two manuals and a pedal. The historic furnishings of the church include the baptismal font dated 1681 and a cross from the 14th century. The retable of the altar from the time of construction shows the fresco of a populous depiction of the crucifixion of Christ, created by the Hanoverian painter Ernst Jordan.

The Frille parish includes four villages located in the three municipalities of Bückeburg, Petershagen and Minden. In addition, the municipality belongs to two different federal states. When the Principality of Schaumburg-Lippe lost its state autonomy in 1946 and the federal states of Lower Saxony and North Rhine-Westphalia were founded, only the village of Cammer and part of the village of Frille remained part of the newly founded district of Schaumburg in Lower Saxony. The remaining villages and, since 1971, the entire village of Frille fell to what is now the district of Minden-Lübbecke in North Rhine-Westphalia.
