Today's seaman's church is a simple brick building with a wooden tower.
The clapboard-covered tower has a rooster on its top. Around the church are old, mostly elaborately crafted gravestones that "tell life stories from earlier times".
Inside the church you can see model ships ("Peter Kraeft", "Teutonia", "Napolion") from bygone times, mostly made by seafarers over many years, then given to the church out of gratitude.
