Sent's most famous offspring have achieved world fame, but sooner or later they all returned. The village chronicle and the architecture speak volumes about the emigration period. To this day, the former largest village in the Lower Engadine has remained a prime example of Romansh culture.
This can be seen, heard and felt everywhere - even on the palate. Traditional cheese, butchery and confectionery trades dominate the busy streets. The landscape between Val Sinestra and Val d'Uina is sometimes lovely, sometimes dramatic and is equally popular with hikers and bikers - and it seduces those who see it. Once you get to know Sent, you understand every single returnee.
