You are certainly wondering how such a charming, bucolic fountain can have such a martial name? We'll tell you if you insist, but really if you insist because it's not funny at all. This was at a time when Lausanne still had an army of recruits stationed at the Pontaise barracks (P) and a shooting range (T) at the Plaine de Mauvernay.
