The Oude Maas is a tidal river in the Dutch province of South Holland that separates the island of IJsselmonde from the Island of Dordrecht, the Hoeksche Waard and Voorne-Putten. The river starts at Dordrecht where the Beneden Merwede ends and the North branches off towards Rotterdam. The river is over thirty kilometers long and its tributaries are the Dordtsche Kil and the Spui. The river ends at Vlaardingen where it merges with the Nieuwe Maas to form the Scheur.
