Great Zernsee (© State Capital Potsdam)
The Great Lake Zern is located between the city of Werder (Havel), which occupies its southwestern shore and the district Golm, about one kilometer behind its eastern shore. The lake is bounded on the south by the railway bridge, in the northwest by the Kleine Zernsee, both lakes separated by the bridge of the Federal Highway 10, in the northeast by the mouth of the Havelnebenflusses Wublitz. The Great Zernsee is an important link for recreational boat traffic on the Havel with near-natural riparian zones to the Golmer Luch and in the nationally significant biotope network with the Wublitzrinne

Räuberberg: medieval settlement of the Heveller (Slavs), later German settlers (fishermen). In times of robber barons (Quitzow, Rochow), barges were intercepted and robbed using an underwater chain. You can see a slight increase in the terrain. The Luch, with its damp and green meadows, lies lower down to the west.
