On the right side we have a view of one of the most traditional natural baths in Dresden - the Weixdorf bathing area at the Großteich. Since 1906 nature lovers and water rats have got their money's worth at the artificially dammed pond in 1560. Erich Kästner and the composer Hans Hendrik Wehding already spent their free time here. A special highlight are the originally restored changing rooms, which invite you to travel back in time. Below the large pond on the left side are the upper and lower middle ponds and the mill pond. Following our hiking trail, we reach the old village center of Friedersdorf and walk along the ponds that were once used for fish farming.

Take a leisurely stroll through Lausa, where you'll find the Mühlteich, Mittelteich, Obermittelteich, and the forest pool. Mittelteich features a weir system.

      Info:

The many marshy areas and ponds gave Lausa its name. The name is derived from the Old Sorbian word luza (German: swamp, puddle).
