Hiking
Zytanien, located south of the Immensen district of Lehrter, is an alternative housing project on a former brick factory. The name was chosen based on Zytan AG, which was based in the brickworks from 1976 to 1981. The residents of the site have been organizing a three-day music festival with national artists on several stages since the 1980s, to which visitors from all over Germany and beyond. The project uses the proceeds to finance the maintenance of the residential buildings on the site. Since 2015, Zytanien has also been home to the art, culture and music festival Fuchsbau.
