Since 2016, there has been an area with an Iron Age house and an associated outbuilding next to the Naturfreundehaus Grafhorn. It is intended to bring school groups and other interested parties closer to life 2500 years ago in this part of what is now Lower Saxony, such as the smelting of iron ore using a kiln. Like the Friends of Nature House itself, the Corona lockdowns have not been good for the Iron Age House either. There is currently no operation there (as of early 2023). The site is accessible, but the houses are closed.
