The rei was part of the first Bruges city walls, it was dug in the 12th century and although Jan van Eyck lived and worked across the street, it is remarkably quiet here.
This gives you the special feeling that you are the only one who knows this splendor. A trip all to yourself. Or enjoy centuries-old beauty solo.
