Mechower See Observation Tower

Climb up! The view of Lake Mechower is worth it.

The observation tower at Mechower See is located on the northwest bank and can be reached from Mechow. It offers a wonderful view over the Ice Age Rinnensee. Lake Mechower is a paradise for water birds. Numerous species of ducks and geese live here. And with a bit of luck you can even spot a sea eagle. The silent observer with binoculars and a camera is sure to catch some rare and unforgettable sights.
On the way to the observation tower, the beautiful landscape offers wonderful views, especially when the sloes are blooming in spring. The beheaded black poplars along the way provide both a rustic backdrop and a habitat for wood dwellers. A hike around Lake Mechower is also a journey through time. The lake is a former border area. A circular hiking trail around the lake is marked.

The tower with benches and tables to rest and many fruit trees stands very nicely in the middle of the meadow
