The Brunswick lion, also known as the Lion's Arch into the late 19th century and still known today as the (Brunswick) castle lion, is a monument of a larger than life bronze lion from the second half of the 12th century, the symbol of Duke Henry the Lion erected in his power.

The bronze cast, probably created by an unknown artist himself in Braunschweig, weighs 880 kg, is 1.78 m high, 2.79 m long and has a maximum wall thickness of 12 mm.
