Since October 2019, a new tied arch bridge has been under construction in the Datteln section, over which the new line will cross the Dortmund-Ems Canal in the area of the Dattelner Meer. The bridge structure will be 206 meters long and consists of a tied arch bridge (126 meters) and a foreland bridge.
