Once a mansion, now a museum for the general public:
The Rätisches Museum once served as a private residence for Paul von Buol zu Strass and Rietberg. In 1675 the baron bought the property and built a baroque building in place of the old armory. In the 19th century the house became a site of cultural and historical memory. At that time, people around the lawyer and politician Peter Conradin von Planta were concerned about the migration of Graubünden cultural assets and wanted to put a stop to this development with a collection. This resulted in the Rhaetian Museum.

Lively, 4-story museum with permanent and changing exhibitions on the history of Graubünden.

The outer facade is currently under renovation (May 2021), but the museum can be visited. From the Stone Age / Antiquity in the cellar, to the medieval second floor, to the modern era on the third and fourth floor, very interesting designs.
