The Obertor in the Graubünden canton capital Chur is a listed city gate and with its four-story tower is a relic of the high medieval city fortifications that were removed in the 19th century and which go back to the first half of the 13th century. Extensively restored on the outside for the last time in 1949, it is located directly at the Plessur Bridge at the entrance to the old town and formed the southwestern exit of the city, where the last cargo handling took place on Ochsenplatz, which is located in the city center.
