The Bentwoud is a new nature and recreation area in the Randstad, between Zoetermeer and Boskoop. It is a relatively young forest, the design of the nature reserve was completed in 2016, but it already has a real size. In recent years, 2.5 million trees and shrubs have been planted and 80 kilometers of walking and cycling paths have been constructed. With over 800 hectares, the Bentwoud is the largest contiguous forest area in the Randstad.
