Some areas of the path have been renewed in recent years, or new concrete slab paths have been created. Otherwise, the tower can be reached via the listed so-called staircase stairs. This old path made of clay bricks was the only way to the tower for almost a century!

The Stockenstieg was after the construction of the lighthouse initially the only firm connection from the lighthouse to the mainland. He is a listed building.
