The Bell Palace is not just any museum or exhibition building. It is the place of work and exhibition building for artisans from East and West, a bell foundry, a monument to Russian monastery architecture and a homage to the life's work of Michail Gorbatschow and Albert Schweitzer.
In 1996 the former President of the Soviet Union Mikhail Gorbachev and his wife Raissa laid the foundation stone for the Bell Palace in Gifhorn. Gorbachev has also taken over the patronage for the imposing building. 🤗
