A beautiful natural idyll near Schmidtheim. From the numerous spring pots in the area, streams flow into a series of ponds, the largest of which is the Urftweiher. Traces of the beavers can be found, great egrets, Canada geese and the kingfisher feel at home here. Unfortunately, the Eifel loops "Motte and" Urftweiher "only run a short distance along the east bank of the Urftweiher. We highly recommend a detour to the next pond in a westerly direction, also wonderfully beautiful and significantly more impressions of this wonderful little place Eifel.
