The Schullandheim Bissel was founded in 1948 as a foundation of the boys 'school Röwekamp and the girls' school Heiligengeisttor Oldenburg. The 32-hectare site was part of the former field airfield Bissel. The British military government supported the project. The sheet-shaped corrugated corrugated corrugated iron sheets were built by parents and students in countless hours of free labor. There are two accommodation houses, a farm building, a teaching house and a guest house. Through modifications and extensions, the home has been adapted to the needs of the time. In the future, the landmarked houses will retain their special character: the semicircular cross-section of the roofs made of corrugated iron.
