There is a lot of traffic on the road from Heiligenkreuz to Alland. Alternatively, you can take the path on the right (signposted as "Via Sacra / Wr. Pilgrimage Route), also without any problems with" normal "bicycles. At the turnoff to Mayerling (crossing the main road) you need a MTB.

PS: today drove over the Perchtoldsdorfer Heide to the Seewiese, this path is also part of the Via Sacra - Viennese pilgrimage route.
Looked up on the Internet: The route goes from Perchtoldsdorf to Mariazell and is 111.2 km long at 3599 meters in altitude

    Mountain biking

Smooth, narrow, and flattish towards Heiligenkreuz. A little rougher, wider, and steeper towards Mayerling. Perfectly rideable on a rigid MTB or gravel bike from Mayerling to Heiligenkreuz.
Coming from Heiligenkreuz, you can turn right onto L4001 after crossing B11 for a smooth gravel descent.
