Niepkuhlen Bridge

I like to build this bridge as a waypoint on hikes and bike tours. It is always an idyllic view of nature, especially when the water lilies are in bloom.

A bridge over Niepkuhlen from which you can observe the flora and fauna.

"In the far west of the GeoPark Ruhr area, in the flat landscape formed by the lower terrace of the Rhine north of Krefeld, an elongated chain of ponds and small lakes is noticeable, which are connected to each other and can be traced from Krefeld-Bockum via Rheurdt to the south of Issum and then (beyond the GeoPark boundary) continues into the Nierstal. The body of water that flows through this channel is called Niep, the individual ponds are known as "Niepkuhlen", especially in the area between Krefeld and Rheurdt."
