This is a perfect spot for a short break on the TMB. Home cooking, very warm atmosphere. There is a superb view of Mont-Blanc and its chain of summits.

A wonderful place for me as I had the pleasure of meeting the great man in Chile in 1985. What a nice man he was too, an icon of the outdoor world.

The Bonatti Hut (2025 m) is located in the alpine meadows on the east side of the Val Ferret, on a veritable balcony overlooking the peaks, glaciers and chasms of the Grandes Jorasses (4045 m): great cinema!
The lodge is cozy, well run and organized, great food and atmosphere, a very popular (and booked out) TMB base. rifugiobonatti.itSeptember 9, 2017
In this rifugio there is only panini or cake after lunchtime so be on time or pack your own bread
