Spectacular and enchanted oasis that can only be traveled on foot, perfectly maintained and with unique informative signs, truly a masterpiece!
BICYCLES FORBIDDEN.
It is a small salty valley of 64 hectares, the relict of a larger complex of coastal lagoons, which surrounded the Abbey of Pomposa, is bordered at the ends by two ancient valley huts used, once, as a deposit for tools for the fishing.
From a naturalistic point of view, the oasis represents a truly unique biotope: given the shallow depth of the valley, the flora is mainly made up of limonium, scirpeti, rush groves and reeds.
In the few areas not flooded, the vegetation is made up of holm oaks, phyllirae and tamarisks. The fauna is typical of wetlands.
